Postcards to the Future - time travel via snail mail

Imagine what life will be like . . . in the future.  EVE makes it easy to bend time and communicate with the future in this conceptual installation from Utah artist Derek Dyer and the Utah Arts Alliance. You write it – then we send it through our EVE time machine into the future. Through the magic of EVE,  your postcard will appear days, weeks, months or even years from now.  When you write a message through the power of time travel, please be nice. Your future self is probably an even better person than you are today.

Glo Forms

The Utah Arts Alliance brings back Glo-Forms, an art installation from EVE's past.  Build, create, share and explore in a glowing setting at the Family Festival at The Gateway with these giant artist-designed foam blocks.

Kids Crafts by Creative Capsule

Launch 2013 through inventive, hand-on experiences in the Creative Capsule.  This extraordinary Airstream trailer is your family's gateway to a year of new experiences and adventures, inspiring the inner artist in young and old alike.  The Creative Capsule will be parked outside of the Family Festival to create a treasured piece of art and a memory that will last forever.

Cirkus Pandemonium

During the darkest nights, at the end of the year, fire will light the sky and touch the earth in a blazing display representing the spirit and spark of EVE.  Hope, optimism, and renewal through a shared community experience bring us together as we celebrate the start of a bright new year.  Performance artists from Cirkus Pandemonium will inspire and entertain EVE celebrants throughout Gallivan Center as momentum builds to the grand finale fireworks at midnight on New Year's Eve.

#secretEVE

The #secretEVE stroll is an interactive pedestrian experience from Gallivan Center to the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art. 13 artists from UMOCA have placed large and small art installations along Main Street and 100 South between these two venues. Look for the secretEVE icon on the sidewalk to find an expression Light. Art. Sound.
