FAQs

Where are the box offices?

Box offices are located at the Salt Palace in the south foyer (indoors, corner of West Temple and 200 South) and indoors at 100 South and West Temple. Both box offices open at 5:00 pm all three days of EVE.

The Visit Salt Lake Visitor’s Center (located at 90 S. West Temple) will also be open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Dec 29, 30 and 31 to handle daytime box office needs.

Is EVE for all ages?

Yes! Activities spread over three days and nights means there’s something for every age and every schedule. Families can celebrate together with interactive art exhibits, hands-on learning at Discovery Gateway, an indoor Bounce Town, and much more.  Singles and friends can enjoy drinks, concerts, art exhibits, and more, or just take in the scene at Utah’s biggest three-day party.

How do I get to and around EVE?

EVE events are spread throughout Downtown SLC. Getting around is easy.

Parking at the Gateway is included for EVE goers. Pick up a validation at Clark Planetarium, Discovery Gateway or the Salt Palace.

The Jingle Bus will be running all three nights of EVE. Look for the stops at the EVE venues.

TRAX is free in the downtown FREE FARE ZONE, hop on and off for easy access to EVE venues.

Is parking included?

For those who drive downtown, parking at the Gateway is included with an EVE ticket purchase.

Also consider taking TRAX into the city. You won’t have to worry about parking as you hop on and off the train to access the EVE venues free, and/or using the free EVE shuttle bus. See info in the FAQ section above.

Is alcohol available at EVE?

Yes. For those 21 and over beer and wine are available at EVE’s home base, the Salt Palace. High point beer is also available at the Hop Rising Lounge  in the Salt Palace. Plus, there are several restaurants and bars near the Salt Palace, at The Gateway and between each of the EVE venues where you can pop in for a round.

EVE goers can also experience the New Year’s EVE Bash, a VIP party at UMOCA.

What is the VIP Experience?

The VIP Experience is the VIP New Year’s EVE Bash at the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art. This immersive 21-and-older experience features locally made Epic beer, Jack Rabbit Gin, Vida Tequila, and bites and apps, all in a setting of contemporary art.

From 8:00 pm to 1:00 am, expect random performances, private music sets from EVE headliners, and a midnight champagne toast. Tickets are $100 and include a 3-day pass to EVE Winter Fest, four drink coupons, a midnight champagne toast, food and entertainment, plus VIP access to The Leonardo and complimentary ice skating at the Gallivan Center.

What’s included with VIP tickets (Hops & Spirits VIP Experience at UMOCA)?

In addition to the party, which includes four cocktails, a champagne toast, and bites and apps, VIP ticket holders can enjoy complimentary ice skating at Gallivan Center and free admittance to Body Worlds at The Leonardo.

Will there be fireworks this year?

Based on a petition after last year’s EVE, we’ve found a clean air alternative to fireworks: the largest MirrorBall in the US. Suspended over and illuminating downtown, this art installation will feature an amazing light and laser show to ring in the New Year.

This could be a new way to brighten up the night when the clock strikes midnight, while avoiding the negative impacts fireworks have on our air. Any city can shoot fireworks into the night sky and call it a celebration—we’re ready to do something much more amazing!

What is included with an EVE ticket?

A ticket to EVE gives you an all-access pass to explore downtown Salt Lake City at 12 different venues. Enjoy live music, performances, the Ball Room and Bounce Town at the Salt Palace, EVE’s home base, as well as events at Clark Planetarium, Discovery Gateway, UMOCA, Temple Square, Off Broadway Theatre, Broadway Centre Cinemas and The Leonardo.
